After talking about the three main patterns of the finger prints. We showed them how we take them with the ink pad and pencil and see through sticky tape. It was easy with the ink pad but got a bit messy. The other method was shading a square block big enough for your finger to press onto the block. Then we got some tape and and placed our marked fingers onto the sticky tape and pulled the tape off and placed onto plain paper and compared prints. It was great fun and everyone, including the children, enjoy themselves which was the main thing.
